Hello
I am the flower that grew from bad soil. A product of Newark New Jersey, the third oldest of my mother's ten children. Growing up in an impoverished environment I faced many hardships. I've battled homelessness, depression, anxiety, setbacks and failures. Determined to overcome the obstacles placed in my path I began seeking mentors, older positive male influences that provided the foundation for my growth and development. It takes a village to raise a child, construct a community and restore order; I am elated to do my part.
My Story
Shalil Canzater is a multifaceted Native American actor, published book author and youth mentor recognized for his compelling charisma and dynamic presence. Born and raised in the socio-economically challenged environment of Newark, NJ, he navigated the complexities of being the oldest male in his family. This background instilled in him a solid resolve to convert adversity into opportunity, mainly through initiatives to uplift his underprivileged community. He has engaged in community service by organizing clean-up efforts, mentoring at risk youth. participating in athletic, and pursuing studies in political science.
